When we first launched Sudota, our vision was to free up marketers from the tedious task of extracting social media comments manually so you can focus on the thing you are really good at: delivering a superb customer experience by connecting users with great products and services on social media.
Today we are one step closer to that vision with the release of Sudota
Actions, a marketing automation service built on top of Auto Stream. With Sudota Actions, you can automatically trigger actions like comment
reply or sending a private message based on users comments on your page.
Sudota Actions is currently in beta* and is available to all existing
users. If you haven’t got an account, you may sign up for a free account here.
What is Sudota Actions
Imagine you run an e-shop selling handbags and add new products on your Facebook page from time to time.
Customers are likely to ask for more
information ranging from price to colour to size. It will be a nightmare if
you reply to them one by one manually. And in some cases, you might also want
to take this to private chat.
You can automate this with Sudota Actions
by setting up predefined reply based on keywords (e.g. DM a Hermès link in my
e-shop if the comment contains “Birkin 40”). And if needed, you can also
automatically directly message the user to follow up manually.
How does it work?
Using the same technology that powered our real time Auto Stream, Sudota Actions checks your action rule like comment keyword and time whenever someone leaves a comment on your page to decide whether to trigger an action or not.
A full record of actions triggered is also available in the dashboard where you can easily pause, resume or delete actions.
Each action job is composed of:
-
A condition: you can use a combination of keywords in the comment to determine user intention
-
e.g. comment contains “price” AND “Mini Kelly” for a user who’s asking about the price of the Hermès bag
-
An optional trigger time: instead of triggering a reply/DM all the time, you can also send a different reply based on time
-
e.g. only trigger a reply to invite users to visit our shop during Mon to Fri from 0900 to 2100 UK time.
-
An action: this includes:
-
Reply a comment: as comments replies are public, other users might find the reply useful
-
Direct message: useful to have private discussion with users and follow up manually
-
Hide comment: useful to hiding harmful comments to maintain the community standard
How am I charged?
We offer a simple pricing model for Sudota Actions, starting from $0 (you can sign up for free, no credit card required). All our existing and new users can access both our add-on and Sudota Actions using the same account.
Your Sudota Actions quota is made up of two components: job quota and
execution quota.
Each active job (any combination of condition and
action) counts as one job quota.
And each execution (e.g. direct message, comment reply etc.) counts as one execution quota.
For example, if you set up a job to leave a comment in reply and DM a user, this will count towards one active job with two executions.
Here're the quota for each tier:
-
Free: 1 Action + 20 execution per job
-
Starter: 5 Action + 100 execution per job
-
Lite: 10 Action + unlimited execution per job
-
Team: 20 Action + unlimited execution per job
To learn more about different tiers, please visit our pricing page.
Example use case
-
Giveaway campaigns
-
With Sudota Actions, you can set up an action to automatically leave a reply on each comment and send a private message to users to either give out a coupon code or acknowledge they are enrolled in the campaign.
-
Customer service
-
Imagine you are a fashion retailer who created a Facebook post to announce a new line of clothing. You are likely to get overwhelmed by the number of highly specific questions from followers ranging from colour to size to store availability. It will be time consuming to manually answer those one by one. With Sudota Actions, you can set up rules to answer product specific questions by either a comment reply or a private message.
-
Private message
-
Sometimes, the public comment section is not the best way to handle customer queries. With Sudota Actions, you can automatically send a private message to a user to collect information and follow up separately.
What’s next?
We are only at the beginning of this journey and many features are yet to come.
Top on our roadmap are the ability to trigger email notifications to you and your team when a specific threshold is met (e.g. when more than 50% of the comments are negative or when there are more than 50 comments which contain a specific keyword).
The other one is to allow the ability to trigger actions randomly (e.g. lucky draw campaign) or for a specific number of times (e.g. only DM 50 coupons to the first 50 users who left a comment in a post).
As Sudota Actions is currently in beta, we will be happy to get some feedback from you. Simply drop us a note at [email protected].
Give Sudota Actions a try today, we can’t wait to hear from you!
